On the national runways!!

Two weeks after the Delhi fashion week…Its been a great learning experience…the things that struck me at first..The fashion industry is huge. The designers...the models...the kind of money and hard work tat goes into each costume, each show is just enormous. Was like a kid awestruck by various sights. The day of the show arrived and I was a little wary of wt i was going to face, but I was faced with extremely friendly makeup artists and cordial models...draped in a sari I took my walk down the ramp in midst of famous models like Tinu Verghese...thankfully I didn’t get myself or anyone else embarrassed! In fact I did fine! Followed by a press photo shoot for designer Elisha W much more relaxed by the pool side.

And at the end of the day I felt extremely happy and blessed to be a part of a great show. Wishing and praying tat the next time around I would b more prepared and geared up to do this all over again.

In the meanwhile I have also been doing a whole lot og shoots and interviews. I get all curious questions bout the fashion week. It’s been fun straightening the misunderstandings And getting the feedback of the perception of the show in Kerala.

Meanwhile its been a balancing act with my studies and these busy schedules, but now I know what multitasking is all about Each day, each interview, I have been learning a lot bout myself and people around me…waiting to see what tomorrow brings..

And I am sure it will be many more shining mornings

For the people out there who still think that the world of pageants and fashion is full of physical beauty and no inner substance, Ms.Rohini Mariyam Idicula is sure to come across as a big surprise! Having known her personally for some time, it is evident to me that the achievements she has made till date are just a preview of what she is capable of. She has been immensely contributing to the society, even before she became Miss Kerala'07, through her association with various social service organizations like 'Make a Difference'. Winning the crown has helped her broaden her avenues to contribute more. The crown of Miss Kerala'07 is a great recognition for her physical beauty and mental faculties. But the people close to her know very well that her inner beauty as an individual far surpasses her physical attributes. No crown can do justice to the wonderful person that Miss Kerala'07 is!!! I wish her all the very best for her future.
